Growing Up Is Just A Trap Life goes on And we're growing old And our problems Are getting out of control Like little children With little sorrow We can not tolerate We can't wait for tomorrow And we blame someone For the pain we feel Spreading rumors around Like it's not a big deal And we always hurt the one we love It is funny thing Watching life from above Chorus : We got crazy, We got lazy Life gives us more crap And growing up.... Growing up is just a trap When you're a kid Adults watching you With such arrogance Telling you what to do Imposing their problems on your innocent brain Turning on you Filling you with pain Watching children play Understand how they are Serene and happy Their pure joy revealed Let's follow the example From our kids Before it's too late It can never be healed Chorus : We got crazy, We got lazy Life gives us more crap And growing up.... Growing up is just a trap

about

Recorded at "Dobrolet" Studios, Saint Petersburg in April 2020
Recorded by Aleksander Dokshin & Petr Ternovoj
Mixed & Mastered by Dima Petrov at Dip Records Studio
So ladies and gentlemen, the legendary Saint Petersburg Ska Jazz Review presents:
The name "Growing Is Just A Up Trap" speaks for itself that the people of the planet are sometimes too serious about themselves, which is why many problems in the world, such as hunger, wars, epidemics, devastation, universal hatred for each other, and pollution of the atmosphere and reservoirs. And we must try to be simpler, kinder and more direct. We observe all the qualities in children who come to this world pure, free and cheerful. And with age we all become grouchy, grumpier, addicted, etc. It all looks like some kind of trap.
The lyrics of the songs of this album also touch upon the problems of pollution of nature, attitudes towards each other, dependence on gadgets of the modern world. But there are also romantic themes, about love of life, dreams and travel, which have always been sung in the work of the group.
The team does not need special advertising, as it has been serving the muse and its fans for 20 years! To all fans of Ska, Reggae, Soul, Rockсteady, Swing.
Hurry Up, to put this record on your turntable and enjoy the sounds of the orchestra under the guidance of the soul - Saint Petersburg Ska - Jazz Review!

St.Petersburg Ska-Jazz Review Saint Petersburg, Russia

In 2001, at the 4 annual Sergey Kuryokhin Festival (SKIFF).

The Idea to make such a project with the name came up to the drummer’s head Denis Kuptsov, as he says later — it was our Russian answer to an American New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble.

The music of SPB SJR is an ingenious blend of Jamaican ska & rocksteady and reggae, American jazz and R&B.
